Selangor Football Team is a member team of the Malaysian football league. With 30 Malaysia Cups, 4 Division 1/ Premier 1/ Super League titles, 2 Division 2/ Premier 2/ Premier League titles, 4 FA Cup titles and 6 Charity Shields, Selangor is Malaysia's foremost football team. Due to its success, Selangor has the unique distinction of becoming the most popular and most loathed team all over the country at the same time. Selangor's main rivals are always the teams who put up the strongest fight against its national dominance. In the 1960s and 1970s this was Singapore but in recent times this category has expanded to include Perak, Kedah and Pahang.
