[edit] Re: Civility
What? Can you tell me what exactly did I say? --Nkcs 19:27, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- Nk, if you think that saying "Learn some history before talking, ok?" is civil, then we have a problem. :) I know you were frustrated, we all are, but let's try and argue from a "higher ground", ok? Sebastian Kessel Talk 20:33, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

- I can't disagree with you, your help has been critical there. =) You're completely right, but we two know that TharkunColl's behaviour was a bit more "uncivil" than my statement. =) Cheers. --Nkcs 23:10, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Saavedra
I didn't violate any copyrights. I just used a part of a text in spanish, a list of common known facts about the life of Cornelio Saavedra. Yes, I used the translation machine a little bit, but I didn't just copy-paste without editing it. It seems that my work is worth nothing. I'm really pissed off because Mariano could have just let me explain what happened and take some time to think it. Can you imagine how I felt when I saw all my work was gone?? I work 10 hours a day, I quit college because I don't have any money and I have to work a lot. This is all I have. I only wanted to help. --201.252.98.147 00:56, 4 August 2006 (UTC) aka furgonero
- That doesn't give you an excuse to answer like that. If you want to help, maybe try the spanish wikipedia first. Machine Translations are usually not good and we prefer not to have them. Besides, adding references is very important and you had none. When your block expires, you're welcome to try again but please behave a little bit better. [edit] Tel Aviv - once again to discuss this?
Seba, even if West Jerusalem was recognized by the int'l community or a large part thereof as part of Israel (and as of now, it is not), then it would be Israel's second largest city and Tel Aviv the largest.
Israel's Jerusalem's statistics since 1967 have always included the extended metropolitan area (West + East + Ramot + the Shuafat-Bet Hanina corridor). You can safely assume that at least 35% is not in the West.
So it is more npov to maintain the ambiguity and not insist on "first" or "second" status for Tel Aviv. Actually, the natives don't care. elpincha 16:53, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Libertadores dilemma
Hola Sebastian, I'm currently having an edit war with what it seems is a Sao Paulo supporter in the Copa Libertadores article. He keeps highlightning Sao Paulo as the champions and I'm getting tired of reverting the changes. I wrote a message in his "talk" page but he seems to have ignore it so is it possible to partially lock the page temporarly to prevent anom users from editing? Gracias y saludos. [edit] USA National Team
Thanks for stopping by and posting. I tried to calm them down and they just seemed to get worse. I didn't know what to do, but I'm glad that you stepped in. --Brian G (Talk) 18:55, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WPArgentina
Hi! I just wanted to inform you, as a member of WikiProject Argentina, that we are about to start using the {{WPArgentina}} for article categorization and qulification. Please, take a minute to read the project's talk page, as well as the taggin scheme and the Importance guidelines, and make the necesary comments. Thank you for your participation, Mariano(t/c) 08:40, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your advise please
Hello. I was hoping that you could take a look at Talk:Transformers World 2005. I tagged Transformers World 2005 with a cleanup when I was doing some new page scanning a few weeks ago. The page sat idle for a couple of weeks, but recently it appears to be getting some personal attacks in the article as well as some vandalism. I decided to list it on AFD and now the AFD notice has been removed twice (I responded with the drmafd and drmafd2 templates) and some venom is being spewed on the talk page. I think it is a real mess. I don't know what the next step to take should be. I don't know what the appropriate warning is for what is going on at the talk page. Can you please provide some direction? Thanks --Brian G (Talk) 01:23, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Requesting your opinion
I wrote the article Dr. Jose Celso Barbosa Post Office Building Designation Act, the first bill in history that contains an article from Wikipedia. It appeared on DYK and right away somebody "tags" it for deletion. I inviteyou to express yourself here:Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dr. Jose Celso Barbosa Post Office Building Designation Act. [edit] Tharkuncoll
Tharkuncoll is one of the most disruptive wikipedians I have met so far. It is not just on the Falkland's page, but in many other articles. I would class many of his edits as border-line trolling. I cannot understand how can someone love an edit war so much (see English people for more examples). Congratulations on your adminship, by the way. Salud y saludos, Asteriontalk 18:14, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Shortcut
Hi, I'd like to use it for WikiProject Animal rights, as the Argentina project has several. If you want to hang on to that one, could we have WP:AR? SlimVirgin (talk) 16:17, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Talk:Falkland Islands
Hi Sebas, sorry for bothering. Please, could you take a look at Talk:Falkland Islands? Gibnews has been comparing Argentina's levels of poverty and corruption to the Falklands' current government stating, in example:
They live comfortably, as compared to Argentina where according to Wikipedia in 2005 13.6% suffer extreme poverty, meaning not having enough money to eat. (...) Perhaps you would like one of our second-hand governors?, we get a new one next week.
Is it just me, or is this any kind of personal attack (or, at least, a violation of Wikipedia's civility policies)? Thanks in advance, —Aucun effort n'est trop grand 02:35, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
