Sean Smith was a fictional character in the UK soap Opera Brookside. played by Barry Sloane. He was Ruth Gordon's abusive Ex-Husband, who eventually revealed his softer side and later got back together with her shortly after they divorced. In the final episode of the series, Sean moved away from the close with Luke, Ruth and her siblings.
