Sandy Olsson

Sandy Olsson is a fictional character in the musical, Grease, and the film adaptation. In the film, she is played by Olivia Newton-John. She came from Australia, and when she first met Danny Zuko, at the beach, she said that she must return to Australia, but she ends up falling in love with him. Instead of returning to Australia, her plans were changed and she attended at Rydell High School as an exchange student. Outside the house, at night, by herself, she made up the song, Hopelessly Devoted to You, and when she looked in the small pool that inflates, she reflects herself and thinks about Danny, and when she moves the paper cloth across the surface, Danny disappears from her reflection. In the end, she and Danny flew away from the carnival at Rydell High in the arms of the car, turning the film into a fantasy. She does not appear in the film, Grease 2.
