Saltash Youth Brass Band

Saltash Youth Band was an extremely successful youth brass band in the southwest of England. At its height it had 36 members.
Under the baton of Neil Ellis the band achieved great success at the 57th SWBBA annual contests in Torquay in Nov-2003. In their first ever contest they achieved a remarkable 3rd place, later achieving 2nd place in the proceeding contest.
Unfortunately the band folded after their third contest after achieving 3rd place. This was due to many of the members leaving to go to university or progressing through the brass band world.
Members have aspired to: Mount Charles Brass Band (On 27-Jun, 2005, Tom Hobbs of this band joined on 2nd Horn in Mount Charles Brass Band), Cornwall Youth Brass Band and Soundhouse Brass Band.
