This article is about the city in Ehime Prefecture, Japan. There is also a town in Hiroshima Prefecture with this name, see Saijo, Hiroshima.
Saijo (西条市; -shi) is a city located in Ehime, Japan.
On November 1, 2004, the city of Toyo and the towns of Komatsu and Tanbara merged with Saijo. As of this merge, the city has an estimated population of 116,687 and density of 229 persons per km². The (merged) total area is 509.78 km².
The city was founded on April 29, 1941.
Well-known people from Saijo include television personality Kaori Manabe.
