Ryūkyū Trench

The Ryūkyū Trench is an 2,250 kilometer (1,398 mi) long ocean trench running north along the eastern edge of Japan's Ryūkyū Islands in the Philippine Sea in the Pacific Ocean. It is located between Taiwan and Japan. The trench goes as deep as 5,212 meters (24,629 ft).
This trench has also been called the Nansei-Shoto Trench, after an alternate Japanese name for the Ryūkyū Islands.
