Nice to meet you. よろしくお願いします
I've just joined Wikipedia after many years of sporadic viewing and of late finding it to be my first click when looking for info. This, not to mention spending inordinate hours reading, reading, reading. I decided it's time I started contributing. It's much simpler than I remembered It seemed to me a few years ago that it was too troublesome I'm not sure what I was thinking then.
I'm interested in creating more crossover between the Japanese (日本語) wiki and the en.wiki. I've already noted that I can't (or don't know how) to use userboxes from the Japanese (日本語) wiki.
One thing that has bothered me is the distinct lack of development on the Japanese (日本語) wiki when compared to the English wiki. My Japanese friends are missing out on so much. I don't feel my Japanese skills are not up to adding directly to the Japanese (日本語) pages, but I woulds most certainly like to contribute to this project.
I've just noticed that the en.wiki mixi article is a stub. This is something I can contribute to, being an active participant.
My first posts on Wikipedia were related to the John Lennon article, but I have not made any concrete contributions to this article.
I got the mixi userbox from http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:User_mixi rather than creating a new template in the midst of the userboxes controversy. If the method I've used creates a new template anyway, my appologies. m(_ _)m
