Rick Dickinson

Rick Dickinson was the in-house industrial designer of Sinclair Research Ltd.
He designed the ZX80 and ZX81 personal computers, including the touch-sensitive keyboard and rubber keyboard of the ZX Spectrum. He also designed the TV80 casing and Sinclair QL. Dickinson is a graduate of Newcastle Polytechnic, and joined Sinclair before he had completed his degree. Dickinson holds two patents, one for the ZX80 and one for the ZX81 designs.
He was also the designer of the Gizmondo handheld console (originally the Gametrac).
