Reinaldo Deliz-Santiago

Reinaldo Deliz-Santiago was born January 3, 1924 in Aguada, Puerto Rico. His parents, Antonio Deliz Arroyo and Matilde Santiago Rivera moved to Rio Piedras six months after his birth. He attended University of Puerto Rico, were he joined the ROTC. He entered active military service on July 13, 1943. After the end of World War II, he returned to the University to be called into the Korean Conflict. He started as a Sergeant and was promoted to 1st Lieutenant.
He wrote a glowing commendation for Modesto Cartagena, the most decorated puertorican in the military.
He was married on May 15, 1952, to Milagros Quesada Pico, and had 3 children: Reinaldo Deliz, Vivian Deliz and Eileen Deliz. He died July 13, 2002.
