Psychopathic Rydas

Psychopathic Rydas are a rap "supergroup" of artists signed to the Psychopathic Records label, conisting of the Insane Clown Posse, Twiztid and Blaze Ya Dead Homie. Former members include Myzery, the Anybody Killa, and Esham. They have been characterized as "Thugs in black trucks". Supposedly, many of the beats on the Rydas albums are stolen, meaning most original songs are wipped clean of the lyrics and rerecorded with the Rydas' lyrics without permission from the original artists. To prevent a lawsuit, the ICP created Joe & Joey Records and released the albums on the fake record label, if a they were ever charged, they would just drop the label and lose no money.

The original Rydas consisted of Bullet, Full Clip, Lil' Shank, Foe Foe, Cell Block, and Twin Gats. Their first album Dumpin' was done "bootleg" style and featured the Rydas rapping in a hardcore fashion with thug lyrics over music sampled from other rap songs. Dumpin' was released following ICP's The Amazing Jeckel Brothers in 1999, and was at first to be given to contest winners who dialed a number after figuring out trivia within the CD booklet. Fans were disappointed to find out that they would have to attend the Gathering of the Juggalos to claim their prize, but eventually the album was sold on the internet before being released to stores. Aside from Dumpin', a solo song by Lil' Shank called The Game Ain't Got No Love also began circulating via a free internet download courtesy of the rappers.

In 2000, Myzery left Psychopathic Records, hence removing Twin Gats from the Rydas lineup. Many believed the group would be weakened because of this, but the group remained stronger than ever. In 2001, their second album was released at the 2nd Gathering and was entitled Ryden Dirtay. It featured the remaining 5 Rydas and is widely considered to be better than the first album.

Also in 2002, Pendulum #7 from the Pendulum comic books was released, featuring 3 Rydas solo songs: What Rydas Do Fo Money?, by Full Clip, and Who Wanna Flex? & I Don't Wanna Die, by Bullet.

The third and most recent album was released in 2004 and is called Check Your Shit In, Bitch!. This album featured Sawed Off and Converse, bringing the Rydas lineup to its highest at 7 members, and featured 13 brand new tracks. Plus, an untitled EP was sold alongside the album at the 2004 Gathering, featuring a song off the album called Scrimps, as well as three exclusive songs. Also, at that year's Gathering the Rydas performed at the Mystery Seminar, minus Converse.

On October 21, 2005, Esham officially left Psychopathic Records, as did Anybody Killa on February 3, 2006, therefore removing Sawed Off and Converse from the lineup.

As of summer 2005, there are currently 5 members in the group and whether or not another Rydas album is planned is currently unknown. The Rydas' last performance took place at the 7th Annual Gathering of the Juggalos.

There was a rumor floating around the internet that an album would be released in early 2007 with stolen beats, "Remember the name", "Snap yo fingers", "Errtime", and "Uptown Anthem". The rumors have already been denied.
