Princess Christina, Mrs. Magnuson (Christina Lovisa Helena) (b. 3 August 1943) is the sister of Carl XVI Gustaf, the current King of Sweden. She was born at Haga Palace outside Stockholm. Princess Christina is the fourth child of Prince Gustaf Adolf, Duke of Westrobothnia, and Princess Sibylla of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, and granddaughter of King Gustav VI Adolf of Sweden.
She met her future husband at a lunch in Stockholm in 1961. Princess Christina's engagement to Tord Gösta Magnuson born 7 April 1941, was announced in 1974. The couple married on 15 June 1974 in the Palace Church of the Royal Palace of Stockholm. As a result of her unequal marriage, she lost her style of Royal Highness and became Princess Christina, Mrs. Magnuson.
Princess Christina, Mrs. Magnuson lives in Stockholm together with her husband. She is an active member of the Royal Family and performs official engagements on behalf of the Royal Family, attends official dinners etc, and holds many honorary positions and protectorships as well.
Princess Christina, Mrs. Magnuson was Chairman of the Swedish Red Cross for 9 years.
Princess Christina, Mrs. Magnuson's marriage has produced three children:
- Carl Gustav Victor Magnuson (b. 8 August 1975)
- Tord Oscar Fredrik Magnuson (b. 20 June 1977)
- Victor Edmund Lennart Magnuson (b. 10 September 1980)
