For most of the time period between 1054 and 1802, Vietnam was known as Đại Việt and not Annam as indicated in this map (it was briefly renamed something else between 1400 and 1407). DHN 05:38, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

Southern Estonia and northen Latvia were controlled by Livonian Brothers of the Sword, a German ruled Crusader state. Livonian Brothers of the Sword conquered southern Estonia and northen Latvia during first quater of 13th century. Not showing that would be make map incorrect.
- No. The Livonian order was not organized until 1202, and their conquest of Livonia did not begin in earnest until 1218. This map specifically states that it is a snapshot of the year 1200.

- My mistake not watching the year, but however in either case it is wrong to mark northen estonia as part of Sweeden, it was conquered by Denmark insteed of Sweeden (Sweedis help was later reqested for defence against Denmark but that has nothing to do with political map in 1200). At 1200, estonia should be marked as free tribal territory. There is a offical Estonian forgein ministery website where there is stated that first Danish attempts were made in 1206 and no mention of Sweedish conquest of northen estonia.

- Our Estonia article agrees with you that Estonia was an independent, organized country in 1200. I could change the map again. Is the brown area on the map coinciding with modern Estonia an accurate representation of 1200 Estonia? Should it include the islands too? Is greyish blue a good color for Estonia, since that's what's on their flag? Foobaz·o< 22:59, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Several. The primary source is Cassell's Atlas of World History by John Haywood (Cassell Reference, 2001.) I also used Atlas of World History edited by Patrick O'Brien (Oxford Univ. Press, USA 1999).

This map may err in extending Persian rule into Azerbaijan in 1200. In that year, I think the Shirvan shahs were ruling in Baku, and the Ildegizid atabegs were ruling in Nakhichevan. 128.174.36.225 18:17, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
- That is true but they were at least nominal vassals of the Khwarizmshahs. It is difficult on a map of this size and scope to include all of the many small polities that existed at the time. Briangotts (Talk) (Contrib) 20:50, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Jaejudo
The island of Jejudo in the south of Koryo is shown as Japanese territory. That is wrong. the Koryo dynasty had complete control over the area. Many times it was raided by the Wakou but not dominated. Darkstyx 06:10, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
