Paranormal vanishing
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Paranormal vanishing is the expression for the unexplainable disappearance of things, animals or human beings without apparent reason or cause. In some cases cictims have been reported to have vanished into thin air in front of witnesses, in others witnesses report hearing a scream or unearthly sound, and finding a trail of footprints that suddenly ends. [1]
Some vanishing, such as the 1880 disappearance of David Lang have been proven to be hoaxes [1], others, such as the mysterious disappearance of the three lighthouse keepers at Flannan Isles remain open to interpretation.
It is often claimed, that there are some sites on earth, where paranormal vanishing is more often. One of the best-known of them is the Bermuda Triangle.
The transition to abduction by UFOs is not clearly, because there were some people vanished without a trace after UFO encounters (best known cases Valentich Disappearance).
[edit] Paranormal vanishing in popular culture
The book and film Picnic at Hanging Rock described a fictional paranormal vanishing of some girls at an excursion at Hanging Rock on February 14th, 1900. It is often claimed, that this case really happened. [citation needed]
