It would be very helpful when you create articles for pageant contestants if you added the following category: [[Category:Living people]]. Also start a discussion page with this template: {{WPBiography|living=yes}}. This will help us monitor articles about living people for libel/slander. Thank you. [edit] Miss Hawaii USA link on Ku'ualoha Taylor

In your edit comment you asked why the link to the Miss Hawaii USA site was removed. I had removed it because it was described as an official site, but stated right on their page that it was an unofficial site. -- Hawaiian717 22:10, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Program Feature: Admin Coaching (needs coaches!) Admin Coaching needs coaches!!! If you are an administrator, or even a generally experienced user, do consider signing up to be a coach. Admin Coaching, now being coordinated by HighwayCello, is a program for people who want help learning some of the more subtle aspects of Wikipedia policy and culture. People are matched with experienced users who are willing to offer coaching. The program is designed for people who have figured out the basics of editing articles; they're not newcomers any more, but they might want some help in learning new roles. In this way, Esperanza would help keep hope alive for Wikipedia because we would always be grooming the next generation of admins. What's New? The Tutorial Drive is a new Esperanza program! In an effort to make complicated processes on Wikipedia easier for everyone, Esperanza working to create and compile a list of tutorials about processes here on Wikipedia. Consider writing one! A discussion on how Esperanza relates to the encyclopedia has been started; please add your thoughts. Many thanks to MiszaBot, courtesy of Misza13, for delivering the newsletter.

The last AC meeting (full log) The list of proposed programs has been updated, with some proposals being archived. There is now a new program: the Tutorial Drive! Consider writing a tutorial on something you are good at doing on Wikipedia. The suggestion of adding a cohesive look to all the Esperanza pages is being considered; join the discussion if you are interested! In order to make a useful interlanguage welcome template, those involved in translation projects will be asked what English Wikipedia policies are most important and confusing to editors coming from other language Wikipedias. A discussion of Esperanza's role in Wikipedia is being held, with all thoughts of all Esperanzians wanted! Pageant, if I get a more recent image of Ms Semrow, would you be ok with us using it instead of the existing one? The chance is not actually remote, but I need to know if it's worth the effort. Thanks, --Abu Badali 21:59, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Absolutely... I'm assuming you're talking about a free image? Anyway Vanessa Minnillo has a recent image and I can't see why it would be a problem... -- PageantUpdater • talk | contribs | esperanza 22:04, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

I'm affraid this shows that what is really important is an image of the person, but not of the event. --Abu Badali 22:27, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Well I think trying to be tricky like this is against the spirit of the project. Both are equally important... her winning the event is important, particularly in the sense that she has yet to do much outside winning the pageant that made her notable... unlike Vanessa Minnillo (who I mentioned) who is notable outside the pageant as well... the pageant is 100% more notable to Semrow than it is to Minnillo who would be notable even if she wasn't Miss Teen USA 1998, and thus having an image illustrating Semrow's win is more important to Semrow than it would to to Minnillo If you're going to try and make a point why not be upfront about it?
