[edit] 4th grade gin
I live in Las Vegas and take issue with this sentence: "This created a split between residents who resided in city limits of Las Vegas and greatly love the mayor, and residents in the unincorporated country suburbs, critizing him."
There are plenty of people within Las Vegas city limits who hate this idiot's guts, myself included. As well, plenty of people in the unincorporated suburbs and parts of downtown love him. This article has a few other mildly POV issues that I'd like to get in there and work with, so help would be appreciated. --The Sultan of Surreal. 01:58, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- I love the mayor and I also think the above sentence has no basis in fact. I saw no evidence of this split.Vegasjon 01:43, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Category: Mayors
There are only 56 named individuals in Category:Mayors. So there is no need to create smaller categories (Mayors in Nevada, Mayors in California, Mayors in South Dakota, etc.). Also, "Mayor" is the standard name for someone who is the political head of a city; using a different phrase ("leader of city") is unneccesary. I am proposing that the Category:Leaders of cities in Nevada be deleted. John Broughton 15:00, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
- The subcategories of Category:Leaders of cities in the United States were initially called Mayors in California or similar, until someone renamed them to "Leaders of cities". Anyways, I don't mind if you change them back, please see my comment on Wikipedia:Categories_for_deletion/Log/2006_May_20#Category:Leaders_of_cities_in_Nevada. -- User:Docu
