On Point is a two-hour call-in radio show hosted by Tom Ashbrook and produced by Boston, Massachusetts' WBUR. It is distributed to over 60 public radio stations across the United States by National Public Radio; in Boston, it is broadcast from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (the former time slot of The Connection), and repeated between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. (its original slot). A short "radio diary" segment is sometimes featured at the end of an episode. The show often features senior editor of The Atlantic Monthly, Jack Beatty, as a news analyst.
On Point was originally created by senior producer Graham Griffith, and first broadcast on 17 September 2001 to provide special coverage in response to the September 11, 2001 attacks. The show's popularity led to it becoming a standalone program, first broadcasting under the On Point name on 4 February 2002.
On Point's theme music is "Everything is Alright", from the Four Tet album Pause.
