Marjorie has to learn how to dance and behave like a proper young lady. Unfortunately Mr. Winfield doesn't approve of William and some of his unconventional ideas about marriage and money, which causes the course of true love to run less smoothly than could be desired. Everything is resolved in time for a happy ending.
