Oeversee

Oeversee (Danish: Oversø) is a municipality in the district of Schleswig-Flensburg, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is situated approx. 8 km south of Flensburg. Oversø Oeversee is part of the Amt ("collective municipality") Oeversee, which consists of the following municipalities (population in 2005 between brackets):
- Oeversee (2.028)
- Sankelmark (1.386)
- Sieverstedt (1.682)
- Tarp * (5.758)
The seat of the Amt is in Tarp. It is in an area of many battle areas between the Germans and Danes. It is close to Idstedt and Stolk among other smaller towns in the area. A lot of the battle history is stored at the Idstedt.
