[edit] Split article? Nambour-Gympie CityTrain line into one separate article?
After going through rail sources ie [1], [2] to name a few. I'm putting up for suggestion whether this article should be split, with this article to be mainly about the railway line from Brisbane to Cairns with some information about electrification, the type of services + a brief description of locations/stations along the route.
I originally created the article by retrieving information off the separate Nambour and Gympie Rail line pages (both the Nambour and Gympie rail articles have been redirected to this page). Since then I had expanded on that to include a brief description on the route beyond Gympie (ie Rockhampton electrification, and other things). Why I'm suggesting this split is because currently this article is 75% of the CityTrain stuff, and 25% of the route to Cairns/Rockhampton.
The Brisbane to Nambour/Gympie North route could be split into a separate article ie Nambour and Gympie North railway line, Queensland which could contain the CityTrain info and stations.
Any other suggestions or thoughts? --Arnzy (whats up?) 12:32, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
- It seems to me that splitting off the Nambour line is sensible. Bucketsofg✐ 12:38, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
- The Gympie North service also runs on the same line, and usually operates once a day under the same running patterns. It would be sensible to include both Nambour and Gympie as one article. --Arnzy (whats up?) 12:45, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

- I agree - TravelTrain pages could do with a shot in the arm generally. SM247 04:50, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
