From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nomaindia Mfeketo was the mayor of Cape Town in South Africa from 2002 to 2006. She was the first black woman mayor of the city. She is a member of the African National Congress (ANC).
She has at times been accused of corruption and nepotism, inter alia the "Big Bay saga" which saw large tracts of prime beachfront property owned by the council sold off to mainly fellow ANC members.
