Newell Rubbermaid is a global manufacturer of home organization products, such as plastic outdoor storage sheds in various sizes (which are made by blow-molded panels), kitchen, hardware, seasonal, cleaning products such as brooms, dustpans, and refuse containers, a wide variety of Rubbermaid reusable plastic containers and their lids, and commercial items. In 1994, Rubbermaid was voted America's most admired company. Newell, a major competitor, bought Rubbermaid for $5.8 billion in 1999.
The company moved to Georgia recently, setting up its new headquarters in Sandy Springs immediately north of Atlanta. It operates factories and distribution centers in several U.S. states and abroad.
