New Ulm, Texas

New Ulm, Texas is a small, unincorporated town in south central Texas located midway between Austin and Houston. It was founded in 1841 as "Duff's Settlement", named for James C. Duff, who purchased the original land on which the town was built.
New Ulm, at the intersection of FM 109 and FM 1094, it is midway between six larger towns — Columbus, Bellville, Brenham, Sealy, Fayetteville and LaGrange.
New Ulm has an active Chamber of Commerce, a volunteer fire department, and a Lions Club.
