Nemesis is an openly gay pop music duo consisting of the identical twin brothers Jacob and Joshua Miller. The pair can be differentiated by their hair colors; Jacob is blond, while Joshua is a brunette. Joshua is also a few minutes older than Jacob.
Born and raised as Jehovah's Witnesses, they left their small town in Montana just after high school for Nashville, with hopes of fulfilling their musical ambitions. Although neither of their parents have a musical background, the boys quickly fell in love with music, listening to their parents' records for hours growing up, dissecting the harmonies. Some of Jacob's best memories as a child are when his father would have family and friends gather at the picnic table as he placed his twin boys on top of it to perform for his guests.
The journey of the duo can be seen on the LOGO television network reality series entitled Jacob and Joshua: Nemesis Rising. The show premiered on October 16, 2006.
The duo has recently released their first single "#1 in Heaven" with Curb Records. The music video for this single, which features a lot of homoeroticism, can be seen on the Click List Music program of LOGO. The single is the current the #1 single in Click List. It was also seen on MTV Hits, which just like LOGO, is owned by MTV Networks.
