[edit] Atlas Strategic, Please
Can you please not delete the Atlas Strategic page and the pages having to do with the band. I decided to make the wikipedia page because it is a great band but there isn't anything on the internet about them. I've been working for a few weeks compiling info about the band from emails and little bits you can find on other web sites. Please don't delete the Atlas Strategic, Rapture, Ye Minions!, or That's Familiar! pages, deleting the song pages would be fine though.

The reason for having the fact that 500 copies were made is to clear up the fact because in one place it says that it was pressed many times which isn't true. Thats just to clear it up. I'm not trying to promote the band. This was a significant band that Isaac Brock supported similar to the way he supports/supported Wolf Parade. He was close to signing Atlas Strategic to Subpop but they fell apart before that could happen. It is a significant band that had a short life, and isn't the point of this encyclopedia to let people add on to articles thus letting many people compile a more accurate and larger body of info than one person about a topic?

my direct source is mainly the owner of the record label that atlas strategic is on. would it be smart to include this if i were to put an article up for the band?

once again, my source is mainly the label, global symphonic, not from their website but from emailing the owner of the label. also i had the other sources that helped a little in the links. plus, if you let the page stay i know people who will add to it using the power of wikis to their full extent instead of working on a page to have it deleted.
how about i repost what i had and you give it 2 days to have stuff added on to it and if it doesnt satisfy you then go delete it?

I realize that a quick decision about this site would redirect to the Avis main page. But we are a licensee of Avis who sells cars. We sell cars with a growing number of local Avis licensees (see websites listed). Avis DOES NOT sell their cars. Hi. I noticed that you removed my article about Clearogen and Revivogen, who is a reputable company that should be listed along the likes of Clearasil and others for acne.
I read the article for Clearasil and ours is less about advertising than theirs. What gives, and why did this article get deleted? It only contained facts about a Dermatologist and his comapany. There was no advertising in the article, only facts.
Please explain the cause of the deletion, and how these reputable companies get listed. Surely companies do not need to be Fortune 500 to be listed as brand name, and both of the company articles I wrote are brand name selling in shops around the world.

I was wondering if there is any way to recover any of the work I had done thus far. The church is a major staple of Castle Hills, TX, a suburb of San Antonio, TX. Specifically, it has been deadlocekd with the city of Castle Hills over its expansion; This controversy between the city and the church has been covered by a third party source. The only time I'm free to edit and contribute to wikipedia is usually during my lunch break at work, so it takes me longer to complete articles than other, more seasoned wikis. You deleted my article 4-Sight Fax within a few minutes of it being created, on the grounds that it was advertising. If you had really read the article, you would have seen that it was not promoting the product in question, merely describing it. It is a significant piece of software, and deserves an article here. If you had bothered to check my edit history, you would also have discovered that I have a wide-ranging interest in fax software, and have created and improved several articles on the subject, of which that was just the latest. I have no commercial connection with the subject of the article.
Luckily, I still have the material still sitting in my text editor, so I am going to restore the article. Please do not delete it again without prior discussion.

What originally got me to add my information was because I saw bios of celebrities building them up regarding their achievments and such...if this isn't VANITY then I don't know what is.
I have read stuff on Wikipedia and I think that their is some definite contradiction to your statements page. And that sponsorship came from notoriety that he received from ESPN...something that wouldn't have happened without us.
Now that...being said. I won't pretend to know the ways around Wikedia so I would like a little help to establish a page that you would find suitable. Whether you appreciate the sport of armwrestling or not....it is a fact that this is a growing sport and I personally have had a great deal to do with that fact. If it were to explode on television which we are trying to do...I would be a key person involved in the future of this sport.

I am new to wikipedia so you might need to explain it to me, more than just point me to the notability page.
Somehow I am lost with what defines notability among the wikipedia powers-that-be? It must be somewhere between US District judges and Wampus Cats, otherwise it's deleted right away. Is that accurate?

I am concerned with the recent Wikipedia trend in speedy delete. I'm not really arguing that some of these articles shouldn't have been deleted, but this speedy trend has to stop. I have many articles in my watch list that have been deleted so speedily I never knew about it. Because once they're gone I get no notices. I wouldn't mind input on these deletions. I have read the "What wikipedia is and is not, and also the criteria for speedy deleting. I do think many of the articles ultimately may need to be deleted, however these articles recently became part of a wiki project I think it is completely unfair for them to be indiscriminately deleted this way. The very fact they are in a project that just started should tell you this. Would you tell me what's up with this page (and others like it)? There's no obvious reason to have an article by this name, so I'm not astonished that you deleted it. But how did it get on my watchlist? I'm sure I didn't put it there. This is not the first time I've seen deleted pages pop up on my watchlist like this.
I have to suspect that somebody moved a page that I'd watched to a BS name, perhaps vandalizing the content as well. Then you deleted it. I wonder if this is the case and, if so, if you restored the good content to its original name. Then I'd like to see if the original page is still on my watchlist.

I noticed you deleted an article on Croglin cheese. This deletion shows your naivete about cheeses in general and British cheeses in particular. I presume you will also be deleting Camembert, Brie and Stilton (only 6 companies are licensed to produce it) as they are all cheeses produced by the locals of particular regions in their country. Secondly, this article on Croglin was produced by me on the basis of a link from a page dedicated to cheeses, i.e. not originated by me - but appearing on 'British cheeses'. Finally, taking out the name of the company who produces the cheese was all that was necesaary - edit not delete. If this is your criteria then please delete IBM, Esso and Microsoft..... I think you should be a little less heavy handed with your deleting capability - as other have also suggested above.

Why doesn't that conflict with the policy of not advertising. By the way, I have nothing to do with Croglin. I just independently researched the cheese and put up an article which links from British Cheeses. You currently have the upperhand in that I do not now have access to the original article to refer and determine whether your comments are in fact justifiable. However, one thing I would say, is that both Champagne and Stilton were originally produced by one producer and then that 'brand' was taken up by others. I am sure that if Croglin is as good as it is suggested, the production by other dairies is inevitable. What happens then to the article? Finally, and in the vein of your refutation of the article on Croglin, what about Chevington (one producer), Stinking Bishop (one producer), Ilchester Cheese Company (not a cheese at all) and lastly, Coleraine cheddar (one producer). I would like to add that they seem to delete a lot of things that they deem to be advertising but leave in the big companys blatant advertising......... maybe they receive donations from them.

Just to let you know that I noticed earlier today that you deleted Howstat on 28 October as a WP:CSD A7, after it was tagged for speedy deletion by Tony fanta with the comment "fails wp:web, alexa of 366,204".
As far as I am aware, Alexa is not the sole judge of whether a website is notable (I don't see it mentioned in WP:WEB), and Howstat is one of the three most important sites of cricket statistics on the internet, along with Cricinfo and CricketArchive. You deleted my Versaframe article as "clearly written to promote a company, product, or service". This is confusing to me. Wikipedia contains entries for products such as Coca-Cola Black Cherry Vanilla and Creative MuVo MP3 players. My Versaframe entry did not include any promotional wording. It was strictly a vanilla description of a popular frame system. In contrast, the Black Cherry Vanilla Coke entry includes the following clearly promotional text - "innovative fusion of real cola, luscious black cherry, and smooth vanilla flavors [which] creates a taste that is complex and delicious"
What differentiates promotional entries for the Coke and Creative products from a non-promotional entry for VersaFrame? Please advise. Thanks!

This page is not vandalism. I am simply writing about a new group in my area.
