My Kind of Christmas is a Christmas album by American pop singer Christina Aguilera, released in 2000 (see 2000 in music).

While 'The Christmas Song' was recorded during her debut album sessions, all of the other songs off of 'My Kind Of Christmas' were recorded while Christina was on tour in mid-late 2000. The album was recorded at the same time as Christina was recording her spanish language album Mi Reflejo. Both albums were released one month apart, causing many to believe Christina had been overexposed. Nonetheless, the album still sold solidly, going platinum in the US and selling 3 million copies globally.

Christmas Time was shipped to radio in mid-November 2000 and served as the first (and only) single to be released off the album, despite the song not recieving any video treatment. The lack of promotion for the single caused it to perform mediocrely on the radio. However, years later it is considered to be Christina's classic Christmas carol, similar to that of Mariah Careys All I Want For Christmas Is You.

Many criticized Christina for using too much of her vocal skills on this album and complained that she was oversinging on pretty much every track. Later on in her career, Aguilera would admit that the reason she would oversing on many of her songs was because her record label was forcing her to sing a certain type of music that didn't have the ability to show off her voice, so she would try to oversing to let people know that she could hit certain notes.
