Mr. Young is the extremely mild-mannered owner of Young and Associates in the animated television series SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron. He and his two business partners are interested in bringing their business to Megakat City. He was voiced by Robert Ito in two of his three appearances in the show. Mr. Young first appeared in the episode Destructive Nature. There, Mayor Manx tries to persuade Young to house Young & Associates' corporate headquarters in the 300-story Megakat Tower. The Mayor's plans are foiled when Dr. Viper takes over the building with his army of acid spitting Plantimals, and the skyscraper is destroyed in the ensuing conflict between the mad scientist and the Swat Kats.
In The Ci-Kat-A, Mayor Manx rebuilds the Megakat Tower and tries again but is foiled a second time thanks to an invasion of Ci-Kat-A who infest the tower's penthouse. This results in both Manx and Young being splattered in alien insect guts. (Note that Young in this episode never speaks, and thus is not voiced by Robert Ito.)
Young's third and final appearance in the series is also his largest role and occurs in the episode Volcanus Erupts!, wherein both he and Manx have seemingly mutually given up on doing anything with the twice-destroyed Megakat Tower. The two turn their attention to developing Anakata Island. Their plans to construct an industrial park are ruined when a careless bulldozer operator accidentally plows into the island's sacred Talisman Stone, shattering it. Although Young is initially only angry because he had wanted to preserve the stone since it was important to the culture of the islanders, he soon realizes that this was the least of anyone's worries. Freed from his volcano prison by the Talisman Stone's destruction, the demon Volcanus quickly begins wreaking havoc.
Manx, Young, and a few others manage to get away in a speedboat but Volcanus follows them to the mainland. Volcanus is eventually destroyed by the Swat Kats. Having survived the destruction, Young abandons his idea for an industrial park, instead using his money to turn Anakata Island into a real park.
