The Missouri Tigers are the official mascot of the athletic teams at the University of Missouri–Columbia. UMC athletics date back to the middle of the 19th century.
Missouri (also known as Mizzou) fields many sports at the intercollegiate level, including baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, gymnastics, softball, soccer, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling.
