Mephistroth

Mephistroth is a member of the Burning Legion in the fictional Warcraft universe. He is a Nathrezim, Dreadlord and lieutenant of Tichondrius, Mephistroth remained in the Twisting Nether, with Anetheron during the Third War. He did not share Anetheron's near-fanatical devotion to Archimonde, leading to speculation that he in fact served Kil'Jaeden. When Archimonde came to Azeroth, he brought Anetheron with him, but Mephistroth remained behind in the Twisting Nether, presumably to maintain order within the Nathrezim ranks as Third. Even after the systematic death of Tichondrius, Anetheron, and Archimonde, and the later deaths of Balnazzar and Detheroc, and also the betrayal of Varimathras to the Banshee Queen, Mephistroth remained intact (he is presumed to have taken the place of both Tichondrius and Anetheron as leader of the Dreadlords), waiting to wreak his havoc on the world another day.
