Mendeleyevo (Russian: Менделе́ево) is an urban-type settlement in Moscow Oblast, Russia that stands on the Klyazma River, about ten kilometers from its source. 2002 population—8,030.
Mendeleyevo was created in 1957 as a closed town attached to the VNIIFTRI (ВНИИФТРИ; All-Union Scientific Research Institute for Physical-Engineering and Radiotechnical Metrology).
On the opposite from Mendeleyevo side of the Klyazma lays an old Russian village of Lyalovo.
