Milwaukee

Born in Hurley, Wisconsin, Meghan went by Greyhound bus to Texas after graduating from high school, but she lived there only a brief time before relocating to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Here, she saw a transsexual for the first time in her life and realized at once that she was also a transgendered person. After a disappointing first love, she temporarily returned to Wisconsin, working as a pricing analyst for a large corporation in Milwaukee.

In Milwaukee, she met a waiter-by-day, drag queen-by-night entertainer who took her under his wing and helped her to get her first job as a performer on stage. She appeared as Meghan Crawford. Her act included her singing a song, "Love... Thy Will Be Done," by Martika, during which she hung from a cross wearing gold panties and a matching brassiere. This part of her act was controversial. One night, she and a fellow transsexual, Alex Forrest, renamed Meghan as Meghan Chavalier, after Maurice Chevalier, substituting the letter “a” for the first letter “e.”

New Orleans

On the way to Florida, in 1992, Meghan stopped in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her visit to this city lasted an unexpected five years, during which time she began her transformation into a transwoman. A popular nightclub, Papa Joe’s, was looking for a replacement for a transsexual who had played Madonna, and Meghan applied for the position, imitating Annie Lennox. For the next three years, she portrayed Lennox on stage 17 times each week. Meghan also impersonated Cher and Madonna.

Hollywood and the Midwest

After a brief visit to Hollywood, California, with friend and fellow transsexual Kimberly Devine, Meghan decided that Tinsel Town was the place to be, and she moved into a studio apartment between Sunset Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard. Here, in 1996, she did a photographic spread for Transformation Magazine, which led to her appearance in the film Transsexual Centerfolds a year later. This production launched her career as a transsexual porn star, from which she took a leave of absence in 2001, after being featured in 150 adult films, to study philosophy and religion at the Midwestern home she purchased in Indiana with her boyfriend of over 5 years Eric. Meghan returned to making films in 2006 with Wendys Wild Shemales 4 and her own series of films. Fill Bill Revenge of the Shemale will be released in 2007 among other Best Of Meghan Chavalier DVDS. She could be inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame she has been in the adult industry long enough to be nominated and inducted. Meghan was the first transsexual performer to ever sign a contract with an adult film company breaking down a wall in the industry that had long held firm by signing with Devils Films Inc. in the late 1990's. They parted ways after 6 months but Meghan will always be the first to achieve this accomplishment in the adult entertainment industry.

Meghan is currently writing the sequels to a trilogy of fantasy novels that began with the publication of The Mystical Journey: The Book of Elandor, under the pen name K. J. Siirila. The book has been quite successful and is still on Amazon.com sales charts after a year and a half of its release.

The second book in the series will be called The Mystical Journey: The Book of Garenon.

The final installment will be called The Mystical Journey: The Book of Arisat.

The trilogy takes place in three worlds--the Valley of Illumination, the Forest of Shadows, and the Midnight Mountains--as various fantastic beings, including angelic spirits, faeries, a shaman, myrmidon, ghouls, witches, warlocks, trolls, gremlins, goblins, the netherworld ruler, and a seer, seek to possess a book of spells (The Book of Elandor), a book of curses (The Book of Garenon), and a book of secrets (The Book of Arisat) that will grant their owner power great enough to conquer the world.
