Maya Evans

Maya Evans is a vegan chef from Hastings and anti-war activist. She became the first person in the UK to be convicted under the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 for taking part in an illegal demonstration within 1km of the Parliament Square.
The demonstration consisted of Maya and fellow activist Milan Rai reading out the names of dead British soldiers and Iraqi civilians at the Cenotaph, a memorial site for remembrance of war dead.
