Matheson Bayley

Matheson Bayley (born 15 December 1978) in Chertsey, Surrey, England), is a British pianist, composer, orchestrator, singer and television host. He studied commercial composition at the Royal Academy of Music, London. Having worked for the past ten years as a musical director of musical theatre and composer/arranger for television, he is particularly noted for his album "Native Hue", recorded with popular Cypriot singer Alex Panayi; and for having presented the official European Broadcasting Union's behind-the-scenes documentary for the Eurovision Song Contest 2006. Matheson Bayley has lived and worked in several countries and speaks several languages.
Matheson has directed the recording sessions of, written vocal arrangements for, or performed with such artists as: Joy Tobing (Indonesian Pop Idol Winner 2005), Rickard Engfors (Swedish tour 2005), 2nd album of Hi-5 (Greece's most popular girl-band with Marlain Aggelides), as well as having sung on the Disney cartoons The Wild & Brother Bear 2 (Greek dubbed versions) both due for release 2006, and Pixar's Shrek 2. Matheson also appeared on stage playing 'cello at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest during the French performance, where the country placed 22nd, one of its worst ever results.
