Luzon B. Morris

Luzon Buritt Morris (born April 16, 1827 - died August 22, 1895) was a democratic politician. Morris was born in Newtown, Connecticut. He graduated from Yale University in 1854. He served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives in Connecticut, a Connecticut probate judge, a member of the U.S. Senate in Connecticut and as the Governor of Connecticut.
Morris was also notable for being involved with the Connecticut Savings Bank for several years, some as the president.
Morris died of a stroke, at his home, in New Haven, Connecticut at the age of 68. He is buried at the Evergreen Cemetery in New Haven, Connecticut.
