Luapula River

The Luapula River is a river in central Africa. It flows from Lake Bangweulu in Zambia to Lake Mweru on the border between Zambia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). For much of its course it serves as part of the boundary between Zambia and the DRC.
The Chambeshi River flows into the Luapula in the vicinity of Lake Bangweulu. Mostly surrounded by a broad flood plain, the Luapula is known for its waterfalls, including the Mumbuluma Falls, Musenda Falls and Mambilima Falls.
