Mosiula Mea'alofa Tatupu (born November 15, 1982 in Plainville, Massachusetts) is an American football linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks. He was selected in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft out of the University of Southern California. As a rookie in 2005, he was named to the Pro Bowl, while leading the NFC Champion Seahawks in tackles, with 104. He also had four sacks and three interceptions, returning one for a touchdown in Seattle's 42-0 Monday Night Football victory against the Philadelphia Eagles. He was nominated for, and awarded the 2005 Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie Player of the Year Award at the end of the season, shattering reports saying he was too small and slow to play middle linebacker in the NFL.

Tatupu was an All-American for the USC Trojans.
Tatupu transferred to Southern California after spending freshman year at the University of Maine. Started 25 games in two years for the Trojans as they won back-to-back national championships. Finished USC career with 202 tackles, nine sacks, seven interceptions, three fumble recoveries, three forced fumbles, 18 pass deflections, and one touchdown.

Tatupu attended King Philip Regional High School in Wrentham, Massachusetts. As a senior, he had 110 tackles as a linebacker. Additionally, he threw for 800 yards and 10 touchdowns and rushed for 450 yards and 5 touchdowns as a quarterback. He was an All-State pick as a senior; a Sun Chronicle All-Star as a junior and senior; an All-League pick as a junior and senior; and earned All-League Defensive Most Valuable Player as a senior.

He is the son of former USC Trojan and New England Patriots fullback Mosi Tatupu.
[edit] Pigeon Controversy
In February of 2005 a video emerged on many sites of Lofa Tatupu stabbing pigeons. Since then most of them seem to have been taken down, but many keep getting reuploaded. When asked about the incident, Lofa Tatupu just does not address it or the vicious attack on the camera man.
