Last Tuesday

Last Tuesday is a Christian melodic punk rock band hailing from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. All four members contribute vocals, including bassist Carl Brengle (a Chester Bennington look-alike).

Last Tuesday was formed in 1999 in Harrisburg, P.A. Steve Gee is the only remaining original member. Last Tuesday was formed on the understanding that everyday could be our last day, and we are not guarenteed another day on this earth, so live life for God in the present. What many people do not know is that Steve was an English teacher for a few years until Last Tuesday started touring full time. Chris wasn't doing so well in English class so his parents decided to get him tutored, and it turned out that his tutor was Steve. Chris went to many of the band's shows and when Mike stepped down, he joined the band. "Sometimes we're always on tour," is a statement you may hear the band members saying often, which is almost entirely true. The only time they do not tour is Christmas and when they are recording a new Album. The band members are avid fans of Manwhich sloppy joes and a few years ago asked people to bring them cans of it on tour. The band is known for decorating their instruments a different way between shows and tours. The current Tour members are Steve, Carl, Chris, Ben, and Kristen (Merch girl/Steve's Wife.) For a few weeks during the summer of 2006, the band had a Jack Russell Terrier that a fan gave to them join them on tour. They named her Toby Mac Tuesday and she pooped alot. They had to give her away as it was becoming to difficult to look after her on tour. Last Tuesday also has a fairly decent following in Germany, and has toured Germany several times all expenses paid. Come out to a show sometime and meet them. They are great guys. Chris will arm wrestly you and give you hugs.

Their latest release, Become What You Believe has been quite success full since it's release on August 15th 2006. The new album showcases a heavier Last Tuesday, with more "screaming" from Carl, and more screaming guitar riffs from Ben.

Their nationally released Mono Vs Stereo debut album, Resolve, was produced by Matthew Thiessen (lead singer of Relient K) and Joe Marlett (Blink 182, Foo Fighters).

Although a typical-looking punk quartet complete with spiky hair and loud T-shirts, the band's commitment to meaning and truth is constant. Last Tuesday understands the influence that music has on society and is dedicated to making a positive impact upon the lives of their listeners (young and old). Their band's mission statement remarks that The mission is lofty, but the alternative is devastating. When asked about being labeled a "christian" band, bassist Carl said, "Water isn't good because it is a source of life or is tasty, water is good because God made water good. The same goes for music; Music is good because God made music good. Some people pollute music with negativity, we just play music the way God intended."
