L.A. Is My Lady is a 1984 album by the American singer Frank Sinatra.
This was Sinatra's final studio album of the 1980s and arguably the last true original album he recorded. Under the direction of arranger/producer Quincy Jones, the album incorporated more synthesizers and slick production techniques than any previous Sinatra album.
The album was characterized by the many legendary musicians who played on the sessions, among them bassist Ray Brown, pianist Bob James, trombonist Urbie Green, drummer Steve Gadd, guitarist George Benson, percussionist Lionel Hampton, trumpeters Joe Newman and Randy Brecker, saxophonists Frank Foster and Michael Brecker, all under the direction of producer/arranger Quincy Jones.
Despite its title, the album was ironically recorded in New York City.
