He is actually a Macedonian. He was born in the village of Embore near Kajlari in Aegean Macedonia. He then moved to Bulgaria before he moved to Canada, thats why the source says "Bulgarian immigrant" and not Macedonian immigrant. He has also been interviewed on many multicultural TV programs where he stated he was a Macedonian and that he belonged to the Macedonian nation. However, because he arrived in Canada with Bulgarian citizenship, he is often portrayed as a Bulgarian by Bulgarians. Macedonia 03:21, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

- It does not say he's ethnic Macedonian, just born in Macedonia. The EU-comission source describes him as Bulgarian. Plus why would he otherwise have the name of the Bulgarian khan Kroum? /FunkyFly.talk_ 04:49, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
