Killroy and Tina is a freely available webcomic on Graphic Smash. The comic began in late 2001, hosted on Keenspace (now Comic Genesis), but joined subscription-based Graphic Smash when it was founded in 2003. The archives became free again in 2006.
Killroy is a galactic despot with an uncanny resemblance to DC's Darkseid. Tina Matthews is a young girl who is chosen to be bonded to him such that he is kept in check (or more specifically, to balance the power in the Universe). The action is largely set in Tina's hometown, Wakefield, Massachusetts.
While the early comic artwork is considered poor by author Justin Pierce, the art does improve greatly as the comic progresses.
A major strength of the comic has always been its absurd brand of humor.
Noteworthy catchphrases: "When next we meet, beverage merchant, it will be as enemies."
A running gag is that aliens think the Earth's major or only resource is pornography.
