The shortest and least eventful of Time Squad episodes, Killing Time simply involves the Squad standing in a field in Poland, waiting for their computer to reboot so they can go home. The pretext was that they were to tell Copernicus to conduct his research on the sun instead of a different subject. Copernicus agrees instantly and disappears inside his observatory. The Squad comments on how easy that was, and then they stand around for a significant period of time before they can beam themselves back to the future. Just after the Squad leaves, Copernicus runs back to where they were and screams "Wait! I forgot to ask: 'What's the sun?'"
A footnote to this is that this is the most skewed time arrangement of vignettes in the series. Usually in a vignette series - like the earlier hit, Dexter's Lab - the episodes are, with commercial filler, thirty minutes long. There are then usually two or three vignettes of approximately equal length in each episode. However, in the episode in which "Killing Time" is bundled, there is one very long vignette that takes almost twenty minutes, followed by the Recruitment Commercial and then lastly this episode.
