Khalid Abdalla

Khalid Abdalla (born 1981 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a British actor of Egyptian heritage.
His most high profile role to date has been that of Ziad Jarrah in Paul Greengrass' United 93.
Abdalla was born in Glasgow and was educated at King's College School and Cambridge University. He came to acting through his school's thriving drama scene, where his performances included the title role in Macbeth. In 1998, he directed a production of Someone Who'll Watch Over Me by Frank McGuinness, which ended up having a successful run at the Edinburgh Festival and earned five stars in The Scotsman newspaper[1], making him the youngest director to receive this accolade.
He read English at Queens' College, Cambridge. His performances while at university included the main roles in Othello, Britannicus and Equus . He was a joint winner of the Judges' Award for Acting at the National Student Drama Festival in 2003, for his performance in Bedbound by Enda Walsh.
He appeared in an episode of Spooks, entitled Infiltration of a New Threat. He will next appear in the film adaptation of The Kite Runner, directed by Marc Forster.
