In 2003, Karawynn Long and Jak Koke founded Per Aspera Press, an independent publisher of speculative fiction. It publishes original novels by both new and established authors.
Per Aspera Press takes its name from the Latin motto ad astra per aspera, which translates as "To the stars through difficulties."
