"Joey and the Moving In" is the twentyfirst and last episode of the first season of the television situation comedy Joey.
Carrying on from the previous episode, Joey's girlfriend Sara decides to move in with him. However, he freaks out when they go shopping for some things they will need to live with each other, not helped by a man whose girlfriend is moving in with him urging Joey to, "get out while you can" and, "Quick, she's not looking. Run!" Sara then freaks out to. She then tells him she thinks it best if she went to the photograph job in D.C. Joey then gets over his discomfort.
On the set of Deep Powder, Joey or two other stars film a promo telling viewers to vote which of them will be killed off. Joey at first freaks out about this too, but has other problems when he visits Sara to find out she has left a note and moved to D.C. Joey is devastated.
Joey's neighbour Howard pledges to stop Joey being killed off on Deep Powder by voting reapetedly to save him. Joey asks his agent to get Michael tickets to a Star Trek movie premier, but she comes with him to the screening as she has a major crush on him. When Gina confronts Bobbie, she (Bobbie) can think of no insults in reply and asks Gina if she wants a job.
Alex is going on her first date since her divorce to Eric. However, she comes to Joey for help afterwards when she tells her date to strip naked and get into her bathtub! Joey informs her that any man who offers sex to a divorcee lives in fear of the returning husband. He then pretends to be Eric, causing the date to escape out of the bathroom window. Alex comes back to Joey's apartment to find they have the same taste in comics and they sit in his bedroom.
Joey and Alex argue over who's more unfortunate: Alex wins by declaring she hasn't had sex in three months. Suddenly she is attracted to Joey and kisses him. They then sleep with each other.
While the closing credits roll, Howard is voting to save Joey on his laptop. Michael comes in to check on his progress. They discover the question is who do you think should be killed off. Howard has accidently voted to fire Joey 7632 times! The episode closes with Howard voing for someone else to die, chanting,"Gunner, submit! Gunner, submit!" repeatedly.
