[edit] Katsuya Jonouchi

Did you see the message Geg left you in the revert of the article?

If not, I will explain. The original Yu-Gi-Oh! comic book has been translated into English. The English-language versions in the USA, Canada, and the UK do not refer to the guy as "Joey". They call him by his Japanese name, Jonouchi. WhisperToMe 03:14, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Voice actor agents

No, I haven't met him. Don't think I've gotten the chance to meet any voice actors at this point, unfortunately. I added in some agent information on a few of your infoboxes from checking voicebank.net. It seems like quite a few VA's in Naruto are represented by Arlene Thornton or ICM so mainly was clearing through who they had listed. Now that I noticed ICM has a Wikipedia entry, I probably should have linked to that instead... --EmperorBrandon 23:35, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:InuYasha.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:InuYasha.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Copyright problems with Image:Eric_Vale.jpg

An image that you uploaded, Image:Eric_Vale.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

Please refrain from continuing your image copyright and fair-use violations. [edit] New userboxes

I have deleted a userbox template you recently created, as userboxes should no longer be created in templatespace per the terms of the German userbox final solution. Here is the userbox code so that you can recreate the userbox in your userspace ("userfying") if you wish.

[edit] Doug Stone (voice actor)

Hi there, Jack,

I noticed you changed voice actor Doug Stone's stats, and I'm pretty sure your info is correct. I searched for info about this guy all over the internet, but everywhere I look, I see the country singer's stats. For example http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0422849/

So my question is, where did you ever get the right info? Caudex Rax 00:20, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] katharine harris

Hi. I reverted your edits to the katharine Harris page. The source you gave linked not to her quotes, but to the article about her losing a key staffer. Please find the correct cite and then re-add the info. (I didn't do it myself because I'm sure you're more familiar with finding the article at the Sentinel's site, among other reasons.) Thanks. [edit] List of anime conventions

Please do not add conventions that do not have articles or whose attendance can not be verified as over 2,000. If the convention doesn't release their attendance figures or does not reporting it to a website, such as AnimeCons.com, then that is their problem. But the list must be based on verified information and we can't make assumptions about a convention's attendance, which is delving into original research. --TheFarix (Talk) 17:18, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] TOS character images

Okay, we have a problem here. These Tales of Symphonia character imges are insufficiently sourced. We need to know where they were originally published. This means a fansite/blog isn't enough; we need to know where they were first published.

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Dave Mallow.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Dave Mallow.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}. If you have not already done so, please also include the source of the image. In many cases this will be the website where you found it.

Please specify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (email) (Contr.) 14:02, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Block

I have found material which you have plagiarized in Hunter MacKenzie Austin, Charlie Wyse, Henry H. Blood, Charles R. Mabey, John Christopher Cutler, Heber Manning Wells, William Spry, Herbert B. Maw, George Dewey Clyde, Calvin L. Rampton and Scott M. Matheson. I'm blocking your account for six months. You can appeal the block by using Template:Unblock, contacting me by e-mail, contacting another administrator by e-mail or contacting members of the Arbitration Committee by e-mail. Haukur 20:04, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

{{unblock|Hello Gentlemen, first of all let me please say that I honestly believe I do not deserved to be blocked, let me give you a few reasons why. First of all I believe on almost all those pages except Charlie Wyse I had put a link to the page where I found the info from, Perhaps I did not put it under references, I can assure you this was an honest mistake and I had no intention of plagiarising I was trying to prove where I got the info from, If I put it in the wrong words I did not mean it. I am sorry if this was a misunderstanding, I have contributed alot to wikipedia and I enjoy doing this as a hobby, if I made a mistake by plagiarising I apologize and will be careful not to lift entire passages again. I would just like to have the chance to edit again.}}

I've unblocked you as you requested in IRC, but please be familiar with Wikipedia:Copyvio and do not copy and paste from other pages in the future. Even though you linked the sources, direct copies of information is indeed copyvio. Also, as is evident from the multiple occurrences of Orphanbot coming here, please try to be more careful with images you upload. I'm not quite sure what the issue is with each individual image, but it is important that items that are copyrighted are properly labeled as such. Cowman109Talk 00:24, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
Good luck, Jack. Haukur 00:34, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

It still looks to me like you don't even understand what you did wrong. Copying whole biographies of people from outside websites, as you have been doing for a long time, is completely inappropriate and it doesn't matter whether you put a link to the site in an 'external links' section or in a 'references' section or in footnotes. And you've got to be careful with images too, making sure you provide the sources of images and the right licence or fair use claim as appropriate. Saying "Your Bot sucks huge cock"[2] when problems are pointed out to you is not the way to go. Haukur 00:17, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

<<unblock-auto|1=207.188.67.253|2=Autoblocked because your IP address has been recently used by "Jack Cox". The reason given for Jack Cox's block is: "Plagiarism to Hunter MacKenzie Austin, Charlie Wyse, Henry H. Blood, Charles R. Mab>>

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Sesshomaru2.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Sesshomaru2.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 23:56, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Wally Wingert.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Wally Wingert.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Rossrs 14:26, 4 November 2006 (UTC)fails fair use criteria #1 (replaceable fair use image) as of 2006-11-03

Please do not remove the tag from the image page. As per the message in the tag itself you are welcome to comment on the image talk page. I have explained there why I believe the image to be replaceable and you are entitled to dispute that. Rossrs 10:23, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

I don't know where you're from, but in the United States elected politicians don't take office until they are inaugurated. [edit] STOP removing RFU tags

I have already warned you about this once. Removing "replaceable fair use" tags is vandalism. If you continue to do it, you will be blocked. By all means, dispute the tags if you feel they're misapplied, but you must follow proper procedures. —Chowbok 02:49, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Burlington

Please note that the winner of an election does not immediately assume office the moment the results come in on election night; Cam Jackson will not be mayor of Burlington until he is actually sworn in as mayor of Burlington a couple of weeks from now. Rob MacIsaac remains the mayor of Burlington in the meantime. Please don't change city infoboxes until the new councils are actually sworn in. Thanks. Bearcat 10:36, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
