Juan Carlos Romero (born June 6, 1976 in Rio Pedras, Puerto Rico) is a Major League Baseball left-handed specialist who is currently a free agent. He most has played for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (2006) and the Minnesota Twins (1999-2005).

Romero played college baseball at the University of Mobile. He currently plays for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, expected to continue to come out of the bullpen in middle relief or setup situations. He was traded to the Angels by the Minnesota Twins on December 9, 2005, for infielder Alexi Casilla.

J.C. Romero was one of the Puerto Rican players to agree to play for Puerto Rico in the 2006 MLB World Baseball Classic, joining catchers Ivan Rodriguez and Sandy Alomar, Jr., first baseman Carlos Delgado, second baseman Jose Vidro, third baseman Mike Lowell, outfielders Bernie Williams, Carlos Beltran and Jose Cruz, Jr. and pitchers Javier Vazquez, Joel Pineiro and Kiko Calero, amongst others representing Puerto Rico in a team managed by Saint Louis Cardinals third base coach Jose Oquendo.

On October 6, 2006, the Angels declined his contract option for 2007, making him a free agent.
