History Ink, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, was organized in 1997 to develop innovative approaches to historical research, education, and publishing in the public interest. Its primary public service project is HistoryLink.org the nation’s first online encyclopedia of local and state history created expressly for the Internet.
Online Education and Services
HistoryLink is a free, non-commercial Website presenting local and state history in Washington through more than 4,200 original essays and features in an easily searchable database. HistoryLink’s growing content is sourced, vetted, and prepared exclusively for the site by staff, professional writers, and supervised volunteers.
