Hervey Bay Airport (IATA: HVB, ICAO: YHBA) is the main Airport for the city of Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia and the nearby region which incorporaters the nearby city of Maryborough. The airport opened in mid 2005, after the existing airfield underwent an $11.5 million upgrade and construction of a new terminal building, with Jetstar and Virgin Blue expressing their interest to fly to the Area.
The two airlines currently only fly to Sydney on a multi-weekly basis, the airlines could eventually expand to other capital cities in southeast Australia in the near future.
