Hard Drive is a villain in the animated television series SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron, a technology thief who uses his "Surge Coat" to manipulate electricity and even transform himself into an electrical current and travel through powerlines. He first appears in Night of the Dark Kat, acting as Dark Kat's henchman and assisting him in framing the SWAT Kats. He later appears briefly at the beginning of Metal Urgency, this time on his own, wherein he attempts to steal the prototype Enforcer tank known as the Behemoth. He is stopped when they short out the Behemoth's controls using a Scrambler Missile, causing Hard Drive to crash the tank. His third and final appearance came in SWAT Kats Unplugged where he steals the Anti-Weapon Scrambler from Dr. Ohm and uses it to disable the defenses of a high-speed rail line transporting gold. He subsequently deactivates the weapons of the Turbokat as well, forcing the SWAT Kats to defeat him by dumping black paint onto the cockpit of his jet, blinding him and once again making him crash his vehicle.
