Happy Hogan is a fictional character, a supporting character of Iron Man in the Marvel Comics universe.

A former boxer with a history of losing his fights, he ends up as Tony Stark's chauffeur. He eventually married Pepper Potts but ended up divorcing her soon afterwards.
Hogan took on the mantle of Iron Man in Tales of Suspense vol. 1 #84 and in Tales of Suspense vol. 1 #74 he was turned into a giant, savage, nearly mindless, superhumanly strong humanoid known as Freak and was mutated on several occasions by exposure to cobalt radiation and possibly Stark's Enervator.
Hogan is currently hired as Tony's personal assistant. He has also work for almost all of Stark's companies including Stark Industries, Stark Enterprises and Stark Solutions. However, when Tony/Iron Man disappeared during Onslaught saga he refused to be employed by Stark-Fujikawa but was reemployed when Stark returned. He also remarried Pepper Potts.
With the Civil War causing Tony Stark considerable moral, political and emotional problems, Happy Hogan has continued to give Tony much needed advice. In an important moment of crisis, he says to Tony: "You, my friend, are the only cape in the bunch (of superheroes) that's both one of us (i.e. a regular guy) and one of them. Who else can see both sides the way you do?" On the night of his anniversary with Pepper, Hogan was attacked by the Spymaster to be used as live bait to draw Iron Man, but Hogan managed to attack him and both fell several stories to the ground, apparently killing Hogan (Iron Man vol. 4 #13).
